We found a nice little anchorage in the lee of Moni Eginas, a cute little island about half way between our slip at Olympic Marina (where we stopped to visit Athens) and the Corinth Canal, which we planned to transit for a second time to get back to Corfu.

The water around Moni Eginas is crystal clear blue and there is a vibrant green pine forest among the craggy hills of the island. It’s absolutely stunning. Dropping the hook in such a pretty spot is always rewarding after a great day of sailing, but then being treated to a wonderful Greek sunset like this is just icing on the cake.
