Just outside of Perast in the Bay of Kotor lies this little man made island. It was a superstition that leaving a rock in this shallow area of the Bay of Kotor after any successful voyage would bring good luck for the next voyage. Or something like that. You can read more about the creation of the island on Wikipedia. After enough rocks were piled here to create an island, a church was erected and it was christened Our Lady of the Rocks.

I originally made this trip by dinghy when we were at anchor in Risan. The trip was about 20 minutes each way with the trusty outboard powering me along. Later in our tour of The Bay of Kotor, we visited again, but this time we just tied Brava up alongside the dock and had a quick visit of the church and museum while she waited there for us. A super convenient and pretty place to stop.
