Seeing a mother bear with cubs is always such a pleasure. In the spring of 2018 we saw quite a few bears in Jasper and this is my favourite photo from those many sightings. The mother bear had her cubs safely treed in this lodgepole pine while she was foraging for berries and dandelions. From a safe distance I shot a bunch of photos with a good telephoto lens and was lucky enough to capture this one as they were looking right at me.
