Sultan Ahmed Mosque is more commonly called The Blue Mosque and is a highly visible landmark in Istanbul. It was built between 1609 and 1616, and is still a popular and well used mosque today.
It’s difficult to get a good photo in here without a wide angle lens, so if you want to see some beautiful images of the inside of this spectacular mosque, just quickly google it.

These concentric circles of lamps are suspended way below the towering ceiling of the Blue Mosque. It’s a cool effect to see them hovering so low in the vast open space of the room.
