The salt flats in Bolivia are the largest in the world, boasting an impressive area of nearly 10,500 square kilometres, which means there are about 80 countries in the world smaller than the Salar de Uyuni.

It is located in the province of Daniel Campos in southwestern Bolivia, quite near the Andes mountain range, and sits at 3,656 meters above sea level.
