While at anchor in Deshaies we took a walk to the nearby Botanical Garden. It was a super beautiful setting and featured tropical flowers and water features. We stopped for lunch at the great French-Creole restaurant right inside the botanical garden grounds.
They also have tropical birds to see. When you entered the bird enclosure you could put coins into a dispenser and get food to give the birds. This Rainbow Lorikeet didn’t appreciate that I didn’t buy him food and yet had the audacity to put out my hand for him to hop on. He just bit me and flew away.
