Marseille, France

Palais Longchamp

The front side of Palais Longchamp in Marseille gets all the attention. It's well deserved since the incredible fountains and gorgeous architecture are simply stunning. But when I was there I approached the building from the back and was treated to a less frequently seen view of the beautiful grounds surrounding the palace.

Maman by Louise Bourgeois

Maman is a bronze, stainless steel, and marble sculpture by the artist Louise Bourgeois. It's nearly 10 meters tall and over 10 meters wide and includes a sac containing 26 marble eggs. If spiders aren't your thing, walking around this sculpture might creep you out a little bit.

The Eiffel Tower from Arc de Triomphe

I climbed up the Arc de Triomphe to watch the sun set over Paris. This photos was taken at dawn when the lights of the tower had just come on but there was still light in the sky.
